The Advanced Acoustics ArtControl Wall Mounted Acoustic Panel combines the broadband absorption performance of the 2" SoundControl range with custom screen-printed artwork, allowing the panel to carry a company logo, brand graphic, or bespoke design. The panel consists of a 50mm Class '0' open-cell acoustic foam core mounted on a rigid 6mm MDF backing board, wrapped in an acoustically transparent open-weave Class '0' fabric. The fabric surface is screen printed with customer-supplied artwork, maintaining acoustic transparency while displaying the design at full panel size.

The 2ft × 4ft (610 × 1220mm) format provides 0.74m² of absorption per panel. The ArtControl achieves NRC 1.00 (Sound Absorption Class A), matching the acoustic performance of the standard 2" SoundControl panel across the full speech frequency range. It is suited to offices, boardrooms, reception areas, and educational environments where acoustic treatment is required alongside branded or designed interior finishes.

Applications

• Branded office and reception environments. The ArtControl panel allows acoustic treatment to be integrated into a branded interior scheme without the visual compromise of standard fabric-wrapped panels. Company logos, brand graphics, and photography can be screen printed at full panel size, allowing the panels to function as both acoustic treatment and interior design elements. The 2ft × 4ft format is suited to feature walls, reception areas, and boardrooms where visual impact is as important as acoustic performance.
• Open-plan offices — reverberation and echo control. Install on walls to reduce reverberation time and improve speech intelligibility. The ArtControl delivers the same NRC 1.00 Class A broadband absorption as the standard 2" SoundControl panel, making it acoustically equivalent while providing a customised visual finish. Panels can be distributed across wall surfaces to achieve the required absorption coverage.
• Meeting rooms and conference spaces. The ArtControl is suited to meeting rooms and boardrooms where acoustic treatment is required but standard panels are considered visually inappropriate. Custom artwork allows the panels to complement the interior specification of the room while delivering Class A absorption performance.
• Educational environments — classrooms and lecture spaces. Screen printed panels can carry educational graphics, wayfinding, or institutional branding while providing effective broadband absorption across the full speech frequency range, improving acoustic conditions for learning.
• Made to order with customer artwork. All ArtControl panels are made to order. Once an order is placed, Advanced Acoustics will contact the customer with artwork submission specifications. A proof will be provided for approval before production begins. Standard lead time is 2–3 weeks from artwork approval.

Product Benefits

• NRC 1.00 — Class A broadband absorption. The 50mm foam core achieves NRC 1.00 (Sound Absorption Class A), with strong absorption across the full speech frequency range: 0.61 at 250Hz, 1.03 at 500Hz, 1.16 at 1000Hz, 1.11 at 2000Hz, and 1.10 at 4000Hz. Acoustic performance is equivalent to the standard 2" SoundControl panel and is not affected by the screen-printed surface.
• Class '0' fire-rated construction throughout — compliant for commercial use. Both the acoustic foam core and the fabric wrap are Class '0' rated, meeting commercial fire safety requirements for wall-mounted acoustic treatment in offices, schools, and public buildings. This fire classification is required for acoustic panels installed in commercial and public buildings in the UK.
• Screen printed custom artwork — high resolution, full panel size. Customer-supplied artwork is screen printed directly onto the acoustically transparent fabric surface. High-resolution images, logos, and graphics are reproduced at full panel size. The open-weave fabric maintains acoustic transparency through the printed surface, ensuring no reduction in NRC performance.
• Three mounting options — Mirror Plate, D-Ring, or Button Fix. Supplied with mounting hardware. Mirror plate fixing provides a flush, secure wall mount suitable for permanent installations. D-ring fixing allows the panel to be hung from a picture rail or hook. Button Fix provides a tool-free demountable fixing, allowing panels to be removed and repositioned without tools — suitable for leased spaces or installations requiring periodic panel removal.
• 2ft × 4ft format — maximum visual and acoustic impact per panel. At 0.74m² per panel, the 2ft × 4ft format provides the largest canvas for artwork display and the greatest absorption per fixing point in the ArtControl range.
• Handmade in the UK — consistent quality across every panel. All ArtControl panels are handmade in the Advanced Acoustics UK facility, ensuring consistent construction quality and finish across every panel in an installation.

Please note: All ArtControl panels are made to order with a 2–3 week lead time from artwork approval. After ordering, Advanced Acoustics will contact you with artwork submission specifications and provide a proof for approval before production begins.

Installation

Mark the fixing positions on the wall using the panel dimensions as a guide. Ensure fixing positions are located on solid wall structure or appropriate noggins — do not fix into plasterboard alone without appropriate cavity fixings.

For mirror plate fixing: screw the mirror plate to the wall at the marked position using appropriate fixings for the wall construction, and hang the panel on the mirror plate. Check that the panel hangs level before finalising the fixing position.

For D-ring fixing: install appropriate hooks or picture rail at the marked height, ensuring the hooks are at the correct spacing to match the D-ring positions on the panel. Hang the panel and check for level.

For Button Fix: install the wall-side button fix receivers at the marked positions using appropriate fixings. Press the panel firmly onto the receivers until the button fix engages. To remove, pull the panel firmly away from the wall.

For multi-panel installations, use a spirit level and spacers to ensure consistent alignment and equal spacing between panels across the wall surface. Mark all fixing positions before installing any panels to ensure the layout is correctly set out.
