The Advanced Acoustics Cloud9 80cm Wall Mounted Designer Acoustic Panel is a circular acoustic panel from the Advanced Acoustics Designer Range. The circular format provides a soft, organic contrast to rectangular wall surfaces and rectilinear interior schemes, and is designed to be used as a standalone statement panel or in multi-size clusters combining the 60cm, 80cm, and 100cm Cloud9 formats. The panel consists of a 25mm open-cell acoustic foam core mounted on a rigid 6mm MDF backing board, wrapped in a 100% recycled open-weave polyester cloth available in 31 colours.

The Cloud9 80cm has a diameter of 800mm, providing 0.50m² of absorption per panel. The mid-size format sits between the compact 60cm and the large-format 100cm, making it the most versatile Cloud9 size for standalone installations and the anchor panel in mixed-size cluster arrangements. The 25mm foam core achieves NRC 0.75 (Sound Absorption Class C), providing effective absorption of mid and high frequencies appropriate for controlling speech-frequency reverberation in office and commercial environments.

Applications

• Standalone statement panels. The 80cm diameter is large enough to function as a standalone acoustic feature on a wall surface, providing 0.50m² of absorption per panel without requiring a cluster arrangement. A single 80cm Cloud9 panel makes an immediate visual impact while delivering meaningful acoustic absorption in smaller rooms and breakout spaces.
• Mixed-size Cloud9 cluster arrangements. The 80cm panel is the natural anchor format in mixed-size Cloud9 clusters, combining with 60cm panels to fill gaps and 100cm panels to create scale variation. Composed clusters of 60cm, 80cm, and 100cm panels across a wall surface create organic, asymmetric arrangements that scale from a small accent installation to a full feature wall.

The 25mm foam core achieves NRC 0.75 (Sound Absorption Class C), with strong absorption from 500Hz upward: 0.65 at 500Hz, 0.94 at 1000Hz, 1.13 at 2000Hz, and 0.99 at 4000Hz. Please note: All Designer Range panels are made to order with a 2–3 week lead time.

Installation

Mark the fixing position on the wall using the panel diameter as a guide. Ensure fixing positions are located on solid wall structure or appropriate noggins — do not fix into plasterboard alone without appropriate cavity fixings.

For mirror plate fixing: screw the mirror plate to the wall at the marked position using appropriate fixings for the wall construction, and hang the panel on the mirror plate. Check that the panel is level before finalising the fixing position.

For cluster arrangements combining multiple Cloud9 sizes, plan the composition on paper or digitally before marking fixing positions on the wall. Use a tape measure to set out the centre points of each panel accurately before drilling.
