Apple EarPods Wired In-Ear Earphones with Lightning Connector

The Apple EarPods Lightning connector are the wired earphones for every iPhone that uses a Lightning port — from iPhone 7, which was the first iPhone without a headphone jack, through to iPhone 14, the last Lightning iPhone. They plug directly into the Lightning port with no adapter, dongle or pairing required. The Lightning connector carries a digital audio signal to a built-in DAC in the cable, which converts it to analogue for the speakers. The EarPod shape is derived from ear geometry research — contoured to sit in the outer ear and direct sound toward the ear canal without requiring silicone tips. The speakers deliver deep, rich bass alongside clear midrange and a balanced top end suited to music, calls, podcasts and video. The 3-button inline remote handles all playback and communication without touching the phone: volume up and down, play and pause, track skip, call answer and end, Siri activation via long press. The built-in microphone captures voice clearly for calls, FaceTime and voice memos. Sweat and water resistant. Genuine Apple with 1-year warranty. Also compatible with iPad Air (4th gen and earlier with Lightning), iPad mini (5th gen and earlier with Lightning) and iPad Pro with Lightning connector.Lightning Direct ConnectionNo Adapter — iPhone 7 to iPhone 14Every iPhone from iPhone 7 through iPhone 14 uses the Lightning port as its only connector — there is no headphone jack on any of these models. The EarPods Lightning plug directly into the same port used for charging, with no additional adapter. The Lightning connector carries a digital audio signal; a small DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) built into the cable performs the conversion to analogue audio before it reaches the speakers. This means the audio quality is independent of the phone's headphone amplifier circuit — because there is none. Compatible iPhones: 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max. Also compatible with Lightning iPads: iPad Air 4th gen and earlier, iPad mini 5th gen and earlier, and iPad Pro with Lightning.EarPod Design + AudioEar Geometry Engineered — Open-Ear ComfortThe EarPod housing is shaped to fit the contours of the outer ear rather than pressing inward at a circular profile. The angled housing directs the speaker port toward the ear canal for efficient sound delivery, while the open-ear design leaves the ear unoccluded — no silicone tips to insert or remove, and ambient sound passes through naturally. This makes them comfortable for extended wear and suitable for situations where complete isolation would be unsafe, such as walking or cycling. The speaker tuning delivers deep, rich bass alongside clear midrange — a balanced profile across the full range of audio content including music, calls, podcasts and video playback.3-Button Remote + MicFull Playback Control — Siri ReadyThe 3-button inline remote on the right cable provides complete control without touching the iPhone. Centre button: single press plays or pauses; double press skips to the next track; triple press returns to the previous track; press and hold activates Siri. Volume up and down buttons sit above and below the centre for immediate level adjustment. During calls: centre button answers or ends; double press rejects an incoming call when the phone is ringing; press and hold activates Siri for hands-free commands. The integrated microphone handles calls, FaceTime video calls, voice memos and dictation. All functions operate natively on iPhone and iPad with no app or driver required.Great choice if you…✔ Own an iPhone 7 through iPhone 14 with a Lightning port✔ Want genuine Apple wired earphones with no adapter needed✔ Prefer open-ear fit with no silicone tips✔ Need a spare or replacement pair for travel, work or the gym✔ Use a Lightning iPad (Air 4th gen and earlier, mini 5th gen and earlier)Consider something else if…✖ Your iPhone is 15 or later (USB-C) — see Apple EarPods USB-C✖ You need to use these with a Mac, PC or Android — not compatible without adapter✖ You need Active Noise Cancellation — see AirPods Pro✖ You want wireless freedom — see AirPods or AirPods ProTechnical SpecificationsBrand / ModelApple EarPods (Lightning)Model NumberA1748ConnectorLightningFit TypeOpen-ear (EarPod geometry — no ear tip required)Remote3-button inline (volume ↑/↓ + centre) · Siri via long pressMicrophoneBuilt-in (inline remote)Water ResistanceSweat and water resistantColourWhiteCompatible iPhonesiPhone 7 · 8 · X · XR · XS · 11 · 12 · 13 · 14 (all variants)Compatible iPadsiPad Air 4th gen and earlier · iPad mini 5th gen and earlier · iPad Pro (Lightning)Not CompatibleiPhone 15 and later (USB-C) · Mac / PC / Android (no Lightning port)Warranty1 Year AppleBox Contents—Apple EarPods with Lightning connectorConditionBrand New — Retail PackagingWarranty1 Year AppleDelivery4–5 Working Days · Fully TrackedAlso available: Apple EarPods USB-C for iPhone 15/16/17 · Apple EarPods 3.5mm for Mac, iPad and PC.
