The Rytons 9×9 Acoustic AirLiner Set is the largest format in the AirLiner range, providing the highest equivalent area and suitable for applications where maximum background ventilation through a single opening is required. The 9×9 format provides 12,800mm² equivalent area — more than double the 9×3 and approximately 30% more than the 9×6 — making it appropriate for large rooms, open-plan spaces, or applications where multiple smaller vents would otherwise be required. Acoustic performance is 38 dB open or closed, tested by BRE to BS EN 13141-1:2004. Manufactured from UV-stabilised polypropylene and high-impact polystyrene. Sleeve: 220mm W × 207mm H, extending 250mm to 404mm. Internal grille: 271mm L × 247mm H. Available in seven colours.

Applications

• Maximum background ventilation through a single opening. The 9×9 provides the highest equivalent area in the AirLiner range at 12,800mm², making it appropriate for large rooms or open-plan spaces where the ventilation requirement cannot be met by a single 9×3 or 9×6 unit. Install through a 9×9 inch (229×229mm) ventilator brick opening.
• Replacement of existing non-acoustic ventilators in 9×9 openings. Fits standard 9×9 inch openings. The telescopic sleeve adjusts from 250mm to 404mm.
• Hit & miss control — ventilation management.

Installation

The 9×9 AirLiner Set fits a standard 9×9 inch ventilator brick opening (229×229mm). Insert the telescopic sleeve through the wall opening, adjusting the length to suit the wall thickness (250–404mm). Fix the sleeve in position. Fit the internal hit & miss grille to the internal face and check that the mechanism operates freely. Check that the external grille is correctly seated and clear of mortar or debris.
